Over the last two days, a rapid series of press releases have brought new information on the Southport knife attacker into the mainstream media.
In addition, this new information has raised multiple questions as to when and what information was known by the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, before the release of this information, what was known by the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, and what information was being withheld from the British public by the Home Office, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), counter terrorism police and Merseyside Police.
A handful of mainstream media broadcasters are questioning the state control of information in this case and are asking what information has been suppressed. Has information been covered up? There are suggestions by some political commentators that MP’s and politicians have been ‘gagged from discussing the Southport attack and the Southport attacker.’
As this article is being written the Speaker of the House of Commons has issued an edict preventing MP’s from raising questions about the case in the House of Commons. Free Speech? The attitude of the British establishment appears to be to shut down information and to ignore its own posturing about democracy and transparency.
Mainstream news media reports are obviously scripted by the government agencies:
“A teenager accused of the murder of three schoolgirls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party has been charged with two further offences after police said a deadly poison was found at his home. Axel Rudakubana was previously charged with the murders of Alice Da Silva Aguiar, nine, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Bebe King, six, following a mass stabbing on Hart Street on July 29 this year.
“The now 18-year-old, of Banks in Lancashire, was also charged with the attempted murder of eight children and two adults – Leanne Lucas and John Hayes – as well as possession of a bladed article in a public place, namely a kitchen knife with a curved blade.
“Tuesday, October 29, Merseyside Police said the teenager has been additionally charged with production of a biology toxin, namely Ricin, contrary to section one of the Biological Weapons Act 1974, and possession of information, namely a PDF file entitled ‘Military studies in the jihad against the tyrants, the Al-Qaeda training manual’.”
Certain TV news commentators have suggested that the conduct of the reporting of the Southport case by Merseyside Police is being directed by the CPS, and some suggest that the press office at 10 Downing Street is deliberately taking a back seat and that the CPS is directing press releases by the Home Office.
The press conference held by Merseyside Police on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 was very carefully worded and the associated information releases to the mainstream media is very telling from the wording. A study of the TV footage clearly shows that the less than impressive Merseyside Chief Constable is reading from a script probably prepared by lawyers and most likely dictated by either the Home Office and/or the CPS.
This from the Liverpool Echo:
“Chief Constable Serena Kennedy told the press conference: “The two further offences relate to evidence obtained by Merseyside Police during searches of Axel Rudakubana’s home address as part of a lengthy and complex investigation which has been ongoing since the 29th of July.”
Merseyside’s most senior officer added: “At this time Counter Terrorism Policing has not declared the events of the 29th of July a terrorist incident. I recognise these new charges may lead to speculation. The matter of which Axel Rudakubana has been charged under the Terrorism Act does not require motive to be established.
“It is extremely important that there is no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online that could prejudice these proceedings. I want to remind everyone that the trial is scheduled for January next year. Rudakubana will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video link tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30. A trial date had previously been set for January 20 next year.”
As this article is being prepared a further media statement stated: “Axel Rudakubana appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, October 30 after he was charged with production of a biology toxin, namely Ricin, contrary to section one of the Biological Weapons Act 1974, and possession of information, namely a PDF file entitled ‘Military studies in the jihad against the tyrants, the Al-Qaeda training manual’, under section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.”
Left-wing and liberal news outlets continue to try to control the narrative on the Southport atrocity, on Wednesday October 30th 2024 in an article in the Guardian newspaper about the terrorism charges being levelled against Axel Rudukabana the newspaper managed to remind its readers not once but twice that the alleged killer was “born in Cardiff”, but made no mention at all that his family were in fact Rwandan refugees.
What facts are being deliberately held back from the public? It is the opinion of this article that all information connected to the reporting of the Southport atrocity has been stage managed and controlled by state agencies in order to reduce any potential damage to ‘community cohesion’ and multiculturalism. This article remembers how quickly the authorities were to state that the Southport atrocity was “not terror related” at the time, so what happened to that position?
