Harrogate: More Evidence of the Great Replacement

More Evidence of the Great Replacement and Unwanted Population Change. The First Mosque in Harrogate is Declared.

A listed, historic building on Belford Road in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was granted change of use and building permission granted by the local council back in March and now is moving towards the next stage of a series of extended development.

Harrogate Islamic Association purchased the building for £500,000, and is seeking to raise a further £550,000 to cover structural building work, full internal and external restoration and refurbishment, plus the installation of security, external lighting, external bollards and railing.

A quick scan over the regional and local mainstream media in April reveals the liberal journalist’s enthusiasm for this latest cultural incursion into a Northern British town; “A decade-long search to find the home of Harrogate’s first mosque has come to an end after a charity completed the purchase of a historic building in the town.

Harrogate Islamic Association has bought the former Home Guard club on Belford Road. where it hopes to open the place of worship later this year. It follows more than ten years of fundraising and failed bids to buy other buildings, but there were cause for celebrations on Friday when the charity completed the purchase for £500,000.”

And more… “The Harrogate Islamic Association (HIA) has spent ten years raising money to purchase a suitable site for the town’s first mosque. The group purchase of the Home Guard club building – a former hospital and Masonic Hall on Tower Street – was rubber-stamped on Friday. HIA’s Zahed Amanullah said members were “relieved and happy”.

“Speaking to the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS), he said about 150 had people gathered together to mark the completion of the sale on Friday. The timing is also great with Ramadan which is the holiest month for us.” The group received planning permission for the project in March, despite some objections over traffic and parking concerns.”

“The former Home Guard Club was originally a hospital from 1873 until 1883, before being used as Harrogate’s first custom-built Masonic Hall. Mr. Amanullah said: “It is now up to us to make this what we promised it would be and that is a building that everyone can be proud of.”

The ‘Local Democracy Reporting Service’ sounds like the product of some Left-wing think-tank, and is no doubt Harrogate Borough Council’s idea of assisting ’Diversity, Equality and Inclusion’ in its policy system. In the past the more affluent folk of Harrogate looked down their noses at the likes of Bradford, Keighley, Halifax and Dewsbury for their multi-racial neighbourhoods and increasingly colonised districts, but now Harrogate is encroached by the forces of multiculturalism.

A listing of increasing numbers of ‘non-indigenous persons of the Muslim faith’ settling permanently in Harrogate provides interesting and disturbing reading. Whether these are second or third generation descendants of Pakistani, Indian or Bangladeshi immigrants moving from other parts of the UK to Harrogate, or are more recent ‘legal immigrants’, or are ‘refugees’ or ‘asylum-seekers’ being transferred to Harrogate by the Home Office under its semi-secret dispersal strategy ‘Operation Scatter’.

The official list of countries of origin for Muslim newcomers to Harrogate over the last decade; Algeria, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, and bizarrely, the USA. Although the Muslim population of North Yorkshire is small, it has grown and become settled over the last twenty years, and now Harrogate is the most recent evidence of creeping colonisation.

Not all of the good folk of Harrogate were impressed by the plans.

Once established, the mosque will attract more Muslims into Harrogate and the initial ‘congregation’ of 300 or so at the mosque will increase and there will be calls to establish a second mosque in the town. This is a depressing pattern previously seen in West and South Yorkshire.

Past experience shows that once established, these communities do not integrate but seek to impose change on local services, such as their insistence on the provision of Halal meat in local schools, followed by demands not to serve any non-halal meats in case there is ‘contamination’, which of course means the exclusion of pork, ham and bacon.

This will then be followed by demands for the provision of exclusive prayer rooms in local schools and colleges, with further demands for segregated education for girls. A quick look over the statement by the Harrogate Islamic Association website makes clear the future direction of the association’s thinking; consolidation, expansion and a long-term future.

“In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful.”

“Welcome to the official website of the Harrogate Islamic Association, serving as a vibrant community hub for Muslims in Harrogate, organising engaging activities such as educational programmes, seminars, charity drives, and Friday congregational prayers, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual growth among the Muslim residents.

“The Muslim community of Harrogate prides itself on being a diverse, inclusive group of people from all over the globe that have made Harrogate district their home.”

Yet another step towards the cultural Marxist dream of a multi-cultural, multi-faith, multi-racial society, yet another small step towards the globalist endgame of the Great Replacement. Only a halt to multiculturalism, a halt to Third World immigration into the UK, and a policy of ‘Remigration’ can restore Britain for the British.

  1. Talk about playing the long game. Whether it takes them ten, fifteen or twenty years or beyond, they don’t mind, they know they will get their way eventually and they can talk about inclusivity all they want, the same pattern plays out every time, they move into an area, the white business owners realise that they better get out or their businesses will be worthless and the white population moves out, it’s so sad.
