The homelessness crisis in the Labour run ‘Sanctuary City’ of Salford continues to worsen, with the number of 1,900 cases of people homeless in Salford in 2021 rising to 3,000 last year in 2023.
Therefore, Salford’s Mayor, Paul Dennett, blamed the previous Tory government for the rise in homelessness cases, through its accelerated asylum scheme (effectively giving illegal migrants amnesty). Dennett said this led to asylum seekers being evicted from taxpayer funded accommodation (in hotels) and left without anywhere to stay, adding to an already acute “housing crisis” in the city.
Indeed, Salford’s deputy city mayor, Coun. Jack Youd, confirmed that Salford is already facing an acute housing shortage, with around 5,000 people on the council’s housing register waiting for a home! These native Salfordians will now have to wait longer for a home. Because, in December 2023, asylum seekers who were recently evicted from hotels appeared outside the council’s offices at the Civic Centre in Swinton inside tents, demanding accommodation!
In response to their angry protest, Salford council immediately re-opened a former school in Swinton, which was turned into an emergency overnight shelter for these new rough sleepers, kitted out with sunloungers and blow-up beds.
Otherwise, the intimidating presence of these mostly young, Muslim men inside tents pitched near to local family housing would frighten most white working class Salfordian residents, especially the parents of young underage girls, who are justifiably afraid of Muslim child rapists and stabbers.
Salford is near Rochdale, so parents of young girls are mindful that Rochdale’s Labour council protected the town’s Pakistani Muslim child rape gangs for decades. So now Labour are back in national government, they fear Muslim rapists will again be protected at the highest levels of government.
Muslim child rapist gangs were protected by Gordon Brown’s Labour government. In 2018, the Chief Crown Prosecutor for the North West of England, Nazur Afzal, told the BBC, that back in 2008, Gordon Brown’s Labour government “sent a circular to all police forces in the country” saying, “as far as these young girls who are being exploited in towns and cities, we believe they have made an informed choice about their sexual behaviour and therefore it is not for you police officers to get involved in.”
In the General Election, the civic nationalist, Reform UK, came second in the Salford constituency, as they did in nearly another hundred seats with a total of 4.1 million votes. They won only five seats, but, their presence in parliament should make it harder for Labour to protect the Muslim grooming gangs and child rapists.
It is a bit rich coming from Salford’s Mayor, Paul Dennett to now blame the previous Conservative government for the rise in Salford’s homelessness cases due to their ‘accelerated asylum scheme!’
In 2023, it was Paul Dennett himself who played a key role in attracting more asylum seekers to be dumped in Salford by the then Conservative Home Office, when the Labour council he leads named Salford as a welcoming ‘sanctuary city’ for the world’s ‘refugees’ and illegal immigrant flotsam.
Salford was awarded the status of ‘City of Sanctuary’ for going above the call of duty in welcoming and supporting over four times the national average of ‘refugees’. This was despite Salford already having a dire homeless crisis with huge pressure on the council’s budgets and resources. Consequently, it was irresponsible of Labour to welcome more immigrants into struggling Salford.
Therefore, Mayor Paul Dennett was culpable in causing Salford’s acute homelessness crisis! Because he was a key driver of Labour’s campaign to welcome even more thousands of dodgy ‘refugees’ to be dumped into the ‘sanctuary city’ of Salford by the then Conservative Home Office.
Regardless of the plight of our homeless, young white working class Salfordians who have waited patiently on the council’s housing register for a home, Labour has cynically betrayed them in favour of accommodating immigrants as part of their ideological ‘diversity drive’ to replace whites!
